Huguette draws from the Cameroonian philosophy of slow living, to propose an effortless style informed by precise British tailoring. Thoughtful research, sustainable natural fabrics and African textiles guide the brands approach to artisanal design.
Focusing largely on Ndop and natural fibres, Huguette is an exploration of materiality produced in collaboration with Cameroonian artisans.
Founded in 2026 by Huguette Tchiapi after graduating from Central Saint Martins (2024) with a British Fashion Council Scholarship, the label engages with themes of community, cultural nuance, performance and her Cameroonian heritage.
The work of Huguette Tchiapi has spanned across a range of cultural institutions including The Victoria & Albert Museum and The Dutch National Opera & Ballet. Huguette is currently working as an academic lecturer at Central Saint Martins.
